"It Was A Driveby Fruiting!"

So today, me and a few friends were strutting down the street like always, when a black SUV drove by and pelted us with avocados from the passenger seat!

And no, that was not in the least exaggerated to make my lefe sound more awesome than it already is. Ok, so here's how it went down:

It was a day like any other day in Arizona, (except not really, because it was raining...) and me and a few friends were on a pleasant walk down to the school playground nearby to finish shooting the last couple scenes of our amatuer music video---basically it was me and my friends taking videos of us doing random things that we'd edit later to the song "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional.

About a block before our destination, we were totally caught off-guard by half-a-dozen avocados pelting us from behind. Quick enough to get whiplash, we spun around in time to see a black SUV speed off, yelling indiscernable things at us all the while.

For a moment, we all stood frozen on the crime-scene-sidewalk stunned by what had just happened. After all, how often was it that random people started throwing avocados at you?! After the inital shock, we all busted up laughing. It was one of the most hilarious, random things that had ever happened to us!

On the way back from the school, we saw a group of about twenty kids, a few of them holding avocados. When they saw that our friend Nick, who had picked up aan avocado from the attack for evidence, their eyes went wide and they yelled horrified, "Did they get you, too?"

Yes, my little munchkin playmates. The Avocado Gangbangers struck us, too.
